Calendar item: "Get Organized" event at IKEA

Seattle - People looking to clean up, organize and refurnish their homes can get it all done at an upcoming event in Renton, while helping the less fortunate in their communities.

Popular home-furnishings retailer IKEA is partnering with Goodwill and Eliminate Chaos this Jan. 29, as part of "Get Organized Month".

Eliminate Chaos, a business that provides organizing seminars as well as residential and business organizing services, will offer a free seminar and demonstration on organizing closets, Jan. 29, 9-10 a.m. , at the IKEA cafeteria, 600 SW 43rd St in Renton.

Patrons also will have the opportunity to make donations at a temporary Goodwill station in the IKEA parking lot. The station will be open Jan. 29-30, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will accept quality reusable office furniture and household items, as well as clothing, toys, and books.

Donations to Goodwill help support free education and job-training programs for low-income and disadvantaged people.
