Calendar item: "Get Organized" event at IKEA
Seattle - People looking to clean up, organize and refurnish their homes can get it all done at an upcoming event in Renton, while helping the less fortunate in their communities.Popular home-furnishings retailer IKEA is partnering with Goodwill and Eliminate Chaos this Jan. 29, as part of "Get Organized Month".
Eliminate Chaos, a business that provides organizing seminars as well as residential and business organizing services, will offer a free seminar and demonstration on organizing closets, Jan. 29, 9-10 a.m. , at the IKEA cafeteria, 600 SW 43rd St in Renton.
Patrons also will have the opportunity to make donations at a temporary Goodwill station in the IKEA parking lot. The station will be open Jan. 29-30, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will accept quality reusable office furniture and household items, as well as clothing, toys, and books.
Donations to Goodwill help support free education and job-training programs for low-income and disadvantaged people.
